Martin Payne
General Manager, Water Supply Products
Martin is the General Manager of Water Supply Products, which is the Hunter irrigation distributor for New Zealand. He has been working in the irrigation industry since graduating from Massey University with a Bachelor of Horticultural Science in 1988. Since 2000 he has been involved in designing, installing and managing more than 60 sports field irrigation projects for his own business, Waterworks Irrigation, as a consultant to NZSTI and more recently SSDM. He designed and supervised the field irrigation for the Forsyth Barr Stadium, which has one of the most challenging environments for sports turf in New Zealand. He was also on the design panel which developed a consistent irrigation specification for Auckland Council.
