Mark Hooker
Mark is the current Director of Agronomy at The Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Clubs and comes from a background that includes 14 years practical greenkeeping starting at Bridge Pa in the Hawkes Bay as an Apprentice to the Middle East as a Director of Agronomy, Tournament Superintendent and Grow in Manager in Bahrain and has over 12 years experience as a sports turf consultant working throughout Asia and the Pacific, Mark has developed a range of core skills in the turf industry. These include:
- Design and production of Golf course turf management operational procedures and budgeting
- Turf management programs for facility grow-in through to sports turf events / tournaments
- Golf course development, auditing, reviewing and staff training
- Laboratory analysis interpretation and reporting/recommendations
- Maintenance department facility design and machinery requirements
- Event management for international events in golf, cricket and football
